I'm back full time at work for the next 2 weeks, so you know that that means... more Xanga updates!
I'm bored, so here are some things about me that you might not know:
Each morning I eat a banana. I could say that it's because bananas are healthy, but nope... it's because bananas are the fastest, easiest thing to eat.
My first album was Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle tape. Yea, dat's rite, I be down wit tha LBC since tha start, ni**a! haha
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life.
When I'm sitting down at a table to eat at a cafe or restaurant, I almost always face the door. The times when I don't do that are when someone already sits down in that position or when some loser actually follows the same rule (which has happened before!)
My left thumb can bend in an odd way. I think I'm double-jointed.
I'm a fan of Apple products. I own a Powerbook and an iPod. Chicks dig the Powerbook. For real! Girls come up to be all the time and are like... "hey baby, nice laptop!"
If you wanna start my night off right, hook me up with a Long Island.
I'm not fond of heights and big hairy spiders kinda creep me out, but my biggest fear of all is failure.
I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Back in the day, all the kids were scared of me cuz they knew I could kick their ass.
Blue is my favorite color. Here's a random sample of just how much I like blue: I'm wearing a white and blue shirt, blue jeans, and shoes with blue on them, drinking from my blue Nalgene bottle that I just pulled out of my blue backpack while writing this entry for my blue web page with a keyboard and mouse located on a blue mouse pad.
I don't watch too much TV, but when I do, it's probably tuned to Sportscenter. In fact, I'd bet that more than 50% of the time my TV is on, it's turned to sports.
Birds flying overhead make me nervous, because there's no telling when they'll poop on you!
I don't believe in just walking down a set of stairs. You should always sprint down them or at least maintain a brisk, breakneck pace. This is the result of years of running down the stairs in my house. When people are blocking my path down the stairs by walking leisurely, I just wanna dropkick them in the head.
You can't always tell how I feel by the way I act.
I'm really oblivious to the people around me. When I'm walking along, I could be staring right at a friend and not even know it. So if you've ever seen me and thought that I was ignoring you, I'm not! I have tunnel vision focus to my destination.
I hate beans.
I'm really loyal to my friends. If you get on my good side, I will go far out of my way to help you out.
Procrastination should be my middle name. That reminds me... better go get those Christmas presents!
One of my spare-time hobbies is producing hip hop beats. Here's an example clip. If you know a rapper or singer who needs original beats, send em to me.
I'm not perfect and I never will be.
Well, if you made it this far, you must be even more bored than I am! Enough about me... what's one thing I about you that I might not know?
One more thing... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
For a little more than a year, I've kept a blog over at Xanga. I started it on a whim out of boredom one day and it ended up being the first online site that I kept up updating. As an intro to blogging, Xanga definitely did the job. It's a limited, but it works well for simple updates.
Now that I've decided to use Movable Type to manage the content of my new website, I've been tempted to use MT as my actual blog. After all, I have much more control over the layout and content than I do with Xanga. The problem is, if I exclusively blog here, I'll lose the huge built-in audience that comes with Xanga. I'm pretty sure that many of the people who come to my Xanga site now probably wouldn't come to this site. For me, if someone leaves Xanga for another site or blog, I get lazy and don't go to their new site. It's so much easier to just check only the sites on Xanga when you are using Xanga.
The solution I've decided on is to duplicate my Xanga entries over here. It's not the optimal solution, but it's a good compromise. Another benefit of doing this is that I get my Xanga entries archived. If I want to post something that I don't necessarily want on Xanga, I can just post it here. For each entry that I copied from Xanga, I'll also add the original Xanga entry link. I'll probably add the urban.rice permalink on the Xanga entry.
Well, that's the plan on how I'm gonna operate my different journals. I guess we'll find out how that works out.
